Hey, this is me again.
I'm back with another double single, and this time we're on the banger side !
The first track, Fléau, was originally, believe it or not, an attempt at making deep house, and well, it kind of got away from the concept. While being really slow for my tastes, 120 bpm, the tracks seems to be rolling at really high speed thanks to its psy bassline. Skull crushing percs and a distorted resonant lead are filling every space left between the martial kicks, giving the feeling that you're doing a speedrun of some tribal survival horror game.
Then, Mille Hivers. Going totally in the opposite direction with its 11m22, the track is a full psychedelic trip in itself. It starts with a really long sample of Akira, just to set the mood you know, and then a Keith Flint's sample wakes you up from this dream, to slowly take you into another nightmare. Hoovers like swift bullets, syncopated breaks, and eerie voices set the tone, till they eventually reach the underground sea they were digging for, to drown you in a deep, black, icy lake.
Two very different tracks here, but a common harsh and cold bite, to feel with your skin.
